More time for the work

About Jobs Desk

Jobs Desk is a small, human-led service for people looking for digital work in the UK. It is being built around a straightforward idea: a shorter, clearer list can be more useful than another stream of listings.

Attention is limited

Searching across boards means repeating the same checks: Is the role still open? Is “remote” really remote? Is this the same vacancy I already saw somewhere else? Does the advert say enough to make a decision?

Jobs Desk brings those questions closer to the listing. It starts with a conversation because matching is only useful when the underlying priorities are understood. It keeps the source details visible because an unknown should remain an unknown.

UK digital roles

The current focus includes website, CMS, SEO, CRO, content and related work. That focus may evolve as the available roles and real client needs become clearer. The right fit is discussed person to person.

The corpus draws from Reed, Adzuna and selected employers’ public career pages. Source coverage, advert detail and commercial terms vary. Jobs Desk does not use LinkedIn or Indeed.

Keep uncertainty visible

A vacancy feed can look precise even when its data is not. Jobs Desk aims to distinguish a full description from a snippet, a verified detail from an unconfirmed one, and a live feature from a future plan.

That means accepting that a list can sometimes be short. It also means keeping the human in charge: you decide whether an opportunity is worth pursuing and you make the application.
